About Us

Our History

White City Soccer Club (WCSC) was established in 1982 by members of the Serbian-Australian community in the Liverpool area of South West Sydney. The club currently plays out of Chisholm Park, located in the Fairfield suburb of St Johns Park.

Since the club’s inception, we have focused on developing players throughout our grassroots and junior teams and we have experienced many successes throughout the years, from Junior, youth and senior teams.

The club has been proud to develop players who have gone on to play at higher levels in Australia, including Australian Schoolboys, NSW Institute of Sport, the National Soccer League (NSL) and the A-League.

Some of our most notable players are:

·      David Vrankovic

o   A former player for Melbourne Heart (now City) and also a former Youth International for Australia’s U20 and U23 teams

·      Milan Susak

o   A junior of the club, he is also formerly of Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar player, with whom he won the A-League Premiership and Championship double under Australia’s most successful coach, Ange Postecoglou, as well as spending a large part of his career playing overseas

·      Radovan ‘Sisko’ Filipovic

o   A former Australian Futsal Captain, leading Australia at the 1992 FIFA Futsal World Cup. He participated in three FIFA Futsal World Cups and is also former First-Grade coach of White City

Our Future

As the Australian football landscape continues to evolve, White City looks to continually improve, develop and evolve ourselves.

Our committee is committed to fostering an environment where players across all teams can enjoy soccer, lead an active lifestyle, and develop important skills in sportsmanship, social interactions, and life. We are especially focused on expanding opportunities for both male and female teams, working to increase participation and support the growth of these groups. Our dedicated coaches, managers, and other volunteers play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can experience the many benefits of being part of the club and the sport of soccer.

The committee has taken a lot of input on board from its members and supporters, and we aim

to return the club to competing within the Football NSW NPL leagues

In 2021, the club moved towards evolving their future. White City partnered with Susak Football Academy (SFA), run by former White City junior Milan Susak. This partnership allows our players a link to elite soccer coaching, while also allowing us to use Susak’s experiences throughout his career to continue evolving and moving the club forward. Our recent successes and improvements have attracted interest from players and coaches outside of our club. We take great pride in establishing this culture throughout the club, one which everyone wants to play for White City Soccer Club and proudly represent our colours.
