About Us

Our History

White City Soccer Club (WCSC) was established by the Serbian Australian community in the Liverpool area of South West Sydney in 1982.

From its inception WCSC has had its focus on grass roots and junior soccer where we have had many successes over the years. We have produced many talented players that have gone on to compete in elite levels in Australia, including NSL, Australian Schoolboys and NSW Institute of sport. Players such as David Vrankovic (Melbourne Heart), Radovan Filipovic (Australian Futsal captain), Milan Susak (ex Adelaide United) and many others.

Successes in the 1990s resulted in the club being promoted from 3rd to 1st Division in NSW. The club played in front of large crowds, in the thousands, and had an excellent support base which it still enjoys. Since 2010 WCSC has competed in the Southern District Football Association, where some of our junior teams have gone from Division 3 and 4 competition to division 1 and have won their age division grand finals. Of special note in 2011 is our first-grade team which won the Southern District Premier B league. Along with these wins many of our players have gone on to be selected to represent the Southern Districts Association in the higher district competitions.

Year 2012 marked the 30th anniversary of our club, where the club numbered just under 300 registered players from juniors to seniors including 3 women’s teams, with the competitive women’s teams winning their Division and becoming premieres.

Season 2013 was a very successful year for our First Grade, as we beat Fairfield Patrician Brother to take out the Southern District FA Major Final. The First Grade also won two cups: Peter Miller & Liverpool Cup.

Season 2015 was again a very successful one with our 1st and 2nd grade senior teams finishing in top 3 with many junior teams reaching the finals.

Season 2017 WCSC had over 6 teams across our club reaching the finals.

Season 2018 WCSC 1st grade seniors taking home all titles that were possible to win that year with many junior teams reaching the semi-finals.

Season 2021 WCSC have big plans with a new young, energetic, motivated committee and partnering up with Susak Football Academy its shaping up to be a very successful season.

Our Future

White City Soccer Club has its home ground at Chisholm Park, St Johns Park.

Our committee, along with all coaches, players, parents and supporters are dedicated to the grass roots, junior soccer where young children can enjoy the sport, not only learning valuable football skills, but also having an active environment which teaches them sportsmanship, social and life skills

The newly elected young and enthusiastic committee of our club have started with the preparation for the upcoming 2021 season. Speaking with our members and supporters we have come across one common theme, a desire to purchase the

grounds where our club will have its permanent home and at the same time securing our future for the benefit of the ever-increasing number of soccer enthusiasts in South West Sydney.

That, along with our ambition to have our Premier teams compete in the most elite levels in NSW is our vision for the future.

White City has been approached by top European Football Clubs that have expressed an interest in forging a partnership.

The offer of football Academies at our home ground conducted by some of the best coaches of the junior football academies in Europe, as well as possible identification of young talent to further their football career at the most elite level in Australia and overseas is one of the most exciting developments of the club recently.

In January of 2013 Partizan Belgrade Football Club conducted such an Academy at our home ground. Partizan Belgrade Football Club has the best Junior Football development Academy in Europe superseded only by Ajax. The academy proved to be a success with a packed Chisholm Park.

White City has also partnered up with Susak Football Academy ( SFA ) for the 2021 season providing players the best possible training and football development with one of our own ex WC players Milan Susak who started his football career at the club some 25 years ago.

Milan Susak ( SFA ) has travelled overseas to further his career as a junior and played in Australia, Europe as well as Asia for 15 years playing for various clubs as a professional football player and now back at WC to assist in our youth programs and further assist the club in what we aim to be a very strong 2021 season.
